The Gentron PRO2 10,000 watt generator uses the engine we nicknamed as Chonda. The design appears to be a blueprinted GX390 Honda (13 hp) even though the GENTRON brand generator lists it as 14hp. The engine brand is a Jiang Dong which they list as 7200 running Watts and 10000 surge Watts.

We supply propane and natural gas kits for the Gentron Pro 2 generator that allow you to use this 10000 watt generator as a bi-fuel which can use propane and/or natural gas.  This is the kit to order if you will not be using gasoline. Because of the engine size this would be a TYPE 3 KIT. However, if you want to keep the gasoline carburetor intact as an option, which allows you to switch back and forth between propane, natural gas, and gasoline as needed, you will need a TYPE 4 KIT which is tri-fuel.

The two kits that we provide for the Gentron 10000 generator are listed below. You will see the order link and additional hyperlinks to more information if you need it.

Also available for this engine is the Type CIC.  This is our Hybrid induction process that requires sending us your carburetor. The details of this method is explained in a reply to post http://uscarb.websitetoolbox.com/post?id=5212272 and clicking this hyperlink will take you to the detailed answer.

Is this still correct info for my Gentron Pro 2 10000 Watt for propane conversion? I want to keep the ability to use gasoline also. If possible.

Is this information still correct for my GenTron Pro 2 10000 Watt? I want to retain ability to use gasoline but also propane. I want to run a line off my large propane tank to my generator.  I've attempted to contact you twice but haven't gotten a reply.Thank you.

Yes, still correct a Type C kit is for low pressure propane, natural gas, and retains the gasoline capabilities.
